As a science teacher for 40+ years at a school for students with diagnosed learning disabilities, I can tell you that the best learning takes place when lessons are designed to offer multiple 'learning modalities.' Our dyslexic students (and all of our students) benefit from lessons that include reading assignments and lectures along with auditory, visual, and kinesthetic features as well. So yes, preferred learning styles are a myth but don't throw out learning modalities. Any teaching employing single modalities is not going to be as deeply owned by the learner.

I teach at a community college in Arizona. Most of the instructors here know that learning styles is a myth and we all keep up with the research on education. Not many stray from the way they were taught - basic lecture and midterms - but at least they know that there are better ways.

You'll probably find the Netflix series "Alien Worlds" (https://www.netflix.com/title/80221410) interesting. It has some very interesting discussions, and representations, of life that might exist on other planets given what we know about life on Earth -- especially extremophiles.

When a full time job pays $300 a week, and the cheapest place you can find to live is $1,500 a month it is hard to avoid becoming homeless, especially when you need a car to get to your multiple jobs and it breaks down and you don't have the money to fix it because so much of your income goes to rent.

I once knew someone who had ECT and afterwards was a zombie who had almost no emotions at all and could hardly remember who I was.
