Here's a pretty extensive blog on Jesus mythicism.

He has a bit of a bone with Carrier, but not undeservedly so, IMO. Still, though both sides of the question make good points, O'neill claims most scholars (including secular ones) come down on the side of Jesus having existed as a man. The main question is, how much evidence SHOULD we expect for an itinerant Jewish preacher making the rounds in a Galilean backwater, even if he was executed on Pilate's order? O'neill claims that we shouldn't necessarily expect any record, and that we don't for similar people of the time.
I'd LOVE to hear an interview with him on the livestream...

If you are going to talk about the historicity of Jesus (something I have studied in great depth) and bring up Bart Ehrman, please also discuss Richard Carrier, who is the best I know of on this subject. Look him up on You Tube. (Robert M Price, "The Bible Geek" is also very good.) BTW, Steve is spot on, his analysis is excellent, and I love his "combo" theory. He is also correct in saying how hard it is to reconstruct what really happened.
