Steve I loved your comment about eating the “wrong” foods together. I wanted a lox and bagel sandwich. I had all the ingredients onion, lox, capers, tomato and cream cheese, but when I went to the freezer to get my bagel, the onion ones were gone. All I had were raisin. Well I decided to try it since no one was watching. Yum!! Sweet and salty. You have given me permission not to hide this new flavor treat. When the deli asks me next time what kind of bagel I want, I plan to step right up and admit the truth!!!

2020-06-27 06:51:12 +0000 UTCIf you get a plastic bag packaged loaf of normal sliced bread from a grocery store, put it in the freezer for any length of time, even months, after it thaws it is indistinguishable from when you got it. I do this all the time. The only other way I know of to get bread to last longer than about a week is to toast it. Otherwise you get mold on it.
