While still going through the numerous police interviews, Chad's "Love Story" also appeared yesterday. You can read the whole thing on East Idaho News, OR you can hear Lauren read the entire thing to Dr. John right here.
Late last night, Lauren introduced #LoveStoryGate to John, reading aloud what Chad wrote to Lori Vallow three days after Charles was shot and killed by Alex Cox.
We also point out some initial observations. I'm sure we'll have even more thoughts about the texts soon. #loinfire

It debuted at BYU in 1973, so it is very old. I only know it because my parents had a VHS copy, and as a child I watched it over and over again. I literally have the play memorized. My Dad grew up in Utah and they did the play in high school, so I think that is why he knew of it and how the tape ended up in our home. I loved the singing and dancing, but the whole thing is full of false doctrine. I feel like some of their false doctrine may have stemmed from the doctrine in this play. The characters who have a love story- they had a relationship in the premortal life and promised they would find each other on Earth, and then they do. So here is a link to the play on YouTube, and the lyrics from the specific song he quoted in his "love story" to her. So not even his love story is original. I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints, but I follow the religion and Jesus Christ, not the culture! They are two very different things I have learned. I grew up in Southern CA but we now live in Rexburg, Idaho.

Especially the part where he would say it was the spirit and the spirit deciding and telling him no, and not the women making the decision for themselves. This keeps him from having to be self-aware or even accountable for who he is and what he might lack. If he blames the spirit, he doesn't have to do any work or take the time to self-reflect. To me, it also reminds me of the type of guy who doesn't quit seem to see women as actual people but as a wife or a partner for himself and not an individual. It's hard to explain but it reminds me of somebody who is like that. ♥️

I was singing The Circle of Our Love for three days straight, maddeningly. This whole novel and thing with Chad is like the novel American Psycho, where a world of murder and savage destruction is created in order for Chad to function rather than address his own identity. The reality though is murder was carried out but there was no pay off, at the end it just was sex. This basic need of accomplishment of sex with Lori it comes across childlike and nervous because she is the anti-Tammy, because Tammy is just representative of what he has known and has come to detest. Rather than addressing his insecurities and basic needs, he has just created this belief system in order for him to just function and gain some sense of who he is. Lori clearly has her own issues but uses her sexuality to get by rather than to look at herself. What in a sense to Chad is not a meeting of minds, but is a meeting of two flawed parties.

You brought up an observation about strictly adhering to religious rules and waiting to have physical intercourse until after marriage, while de facto having a full on affair. I wonder, is it plausible that if the rules permitted premarital sex and they could have "sampled the goods," at least one of them could have been over it and the relationship would have failed to progress? In other words, did the forbidden fruit magnify their attraction? Chad’s writing confirmed that for him it was largely about validation and sex and it didn't really matter if it was Lori or Julie or someone other lady fan. As for Lori, I recall Melanie G. alleging that Lori had a high libido. While she's attractive and could have easily found anyone to satisfy her needs, we don't have any evidence of any other extramaritally affairs. Perhaps because of the religious dogma that she subscribed to, she felt that should could only allow herself to do it with Chad? So I'm now curious, that maybe both Lori and Chad in a way were each victims of these archaic and unrealistic rules related to sex. He regularly conducts tours in the Holy Land and at LDS Church History sites. Then, when I was researching my novel, The Invitation to the Shining City, I read his book, An Everlasting Decree: Ensuring a Title to Liberty for the Promised Land. I was spell-bound! He’s a very unassuming man; he was raised on a ranch in northern Arizona without most of the luxuries that we all take for granted today…luxuries like electricity and running water! He told me how, every night in his grandparents’ ranch house, his grandmother read to him out of the scriptures by the light of a kerosene lamp. That became so engraven on his soul that he eventually studied Semitic languages and ancient scriptures at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. As of today, he has written more than a dozen books on ancient scriptures and Biblical history, which can be found on his website at bhporter.net. When I began reading “An Everlasting Decree,” I became aware of how “truth converges.” I had been studying writings by John Winthrop, the Framers and President Calvin Coolidge (who makes “an appearance” in my book–you can do that in fantasies!). Two of the key messages of my book are statements by both Adams and Coolidge. Many people are familiar with Adams’ pronouncement that “the Constitution was written solely for a religious and moral people . . . and is totally unsuited for anyone else.” When Coolidge elaborated on that, I was compelled to include this statement he made in 1924 in my book, namely that “. . . government rests on religion...’the claim to the right to freedom, the claim to the right to equality, with the resultant right to self-government–the rule of the people–have no foundation other than the common brotherhood of man derived from the common fatherhood of god. if this faith is set aside, the foundations of our institutions fail, the citizen is deposed from his high estate...society reverts to a system of class and caste, and the government instead of being imposed from reason from within is imposed by force from without. freedom and democracy would give way to despotism and slavery. I do not know of any adequate support for our form of government except that which comes from religion.” Then I finished Porter’s book and found my Third Witness. The last two sentences of his book proved to me how truth eventually does converge, and in this case, that truth is, why it is essential for people in this country to follow Christ or be swept away! “There exist a sacred responsibility for the faithful to help maintain the freedom and security of this land. This scriptural responsibility lies within each individual who understands the Book of Mormon to seek the righteous remnant and become a collective voice in the security of our faith, freedom and family.” I would add, as I view freedom-loving people of faith around the country rallying to the cause of freedom, that this responsibility not only rests with members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but also with all God-fearing people throughout the land. He thinks he is the first man to feel sexually attracted to a woman so he has to make it a religious experience to fit his savior of the world narrative. Some combination of Chad the savior and Chad the sex fiend. He is such a bad, unimaginative writer he uses the same description over and over; our bodies fit together perfectly and I want to grab her butt. If I did not understand this case so fully, I would think they are just two singles searching for their soulmate, coming together.

I can't believe October 27/8th 2018 it would be less than a year later and 4 people would have died for just under 4months of married life together but the bars would separate them. The story itself it's just immature and clearly exposes Chad's insecurity and his flawed masculinity. This whole situation is tragic 😪
