Finally, I get to release something after a couple of weeks :D!
I did say I wanted to work on more Overwatch stuff, and so I did. Ever since my first 2B animation I've really been discontent with my ability to light outdoor scenes, so I'm trying to gather skills in that regard and I figured a beach scene was a good enough justification. It seems a mix of using HDRIs, multiple sun lamps and the occasional hand-placed spotlight for accentuation might be the trick, but I'm way too ineperienced to say anything like that with confidence ^^*. The upcoming Ahsoka animation takes place in a snowy environment, so it seems a logical conclusion would be to eventually get around to making a something with a forest setting 🤓.
One of my goals is to get around to making an animation for each of the most popular Overwatch cast. In this case, I count it more as a Tracer animation and does not check Symmetra off my list. I'll tackle her and give her more attention later down the line :P!
For animating oral stuff, I've finally been getting around to trying out shrinkwrapping the different lip bones onto the mesh, as I'm sure this is how most people do it. Not exactly perfect results, however I have read some things about using a proxy mesh and will definitely take a look into that to see if it makes things better :3. I still need to get a better grasp of how to tune the semen physics as well :S!
Furthermore, I'm ready to dive head first into properly learning Blender's NLA editor, which can be a very much daunting task, and I'll admit that I've had a lot of technical struggles with it before. I am aware that the developers are getting around to streamlining it in the future. However, I definitely see the potential in using it to making more transitional and dynamic animation, particularly with giving the animations some finality, so to speak 😊.
Lastly, I want to apologize for not releasing something in like 2 weeks. It's definitely been killing me but it's a necessary step for getting my animations voiced and just learning how to schedule and set up a workflow around that. I just want to assure you guys that I'm constantly working on stuff and am probably gonna set up a Discord server at some point just to have a sort of animation status board. Like I said in my last post though, volume of animations will not change and I'll be releasing an average of 4 animations a month whether they come out in chunks or more consistently :D!
