Artist's Sample Test .01

From time to time I get messages about artists wanting to do a tryout and see if I might be interested in getting their talent for a future story.

I have a default Sample Page Script that I usually send them, which I believe can provide a nice test of eroticism and action for what Tracyverse's comics usually are about.

So, this time I'll put it to patrons to judge.

On a scale of 0 to 10, how much would you like this latest artist that tested for Tracyverse to be given a chance to make a future comic? They don't have a pen-name yet for me to credit, but I can later provide a link to their public galleries and portfolio if the artist creates one.

Feel free to add specific notes on the comments below.

Artist's Sample Test .01

Comments

I like the art & the coloring, but imo, I don't think she'd be wearing her catsuit in the bathtub

Michael Rider

I am 50/50. I like the Line art, but I am not sold on the coloring. However, I like that the bodies do not look like they are made of shiny Jelly like other artist seem to enjoy.

Benjamin Mitchell

It’s very good. I want to see full comic. This artist is great

Jason Gordon

Proportions and perspective are also kind of a problem, though, like in the 4th frame, I have no idea how the space works, why it looks like the tub goes all the way up to the door, but also it looks like we're at floor level and Pete's head is just chin-on-the-floor. Is the tub supposed to be sunk into the floor? It's really confusing and worth noting, IMO

I dunno, I still think there are some issues with the anatomy. In the third frame, the neck, head and triceps relationship just doesn't look right. Same with the last frame, it looks like Cat's torso and face are in different directions. Shading is good, line work seems fine+, don't know how Peter Parker can afford a wall full of vinyls but that's whatevs.

Love it! Looks awesome, I was going to give it a 9 because while it was epic, it was just shy of Llamaboy, 2DSwirl and Sexgazer. But the question was is he great and would you like a TracyScops comic with them, to both resoundingly yes! Also they have some of the most important qualifications for your comics, they draws great bodies and costumes! Love your test by the way.

ImBack

Outside of maybe Spidey looking more "lust crazed" than tired (1.2) to my eye, it is solid work and doesn't look out of place compared to some of your previous stuff. Style reminds me of the one where Black Cat and Tarantula crash through a window.

Suntailed_Hawk

Ok it was just by curiosity

It's been a few years since the last one that actually delivered a complete page. Most only send drafts and tend to give up after I send the first feedback notes. This one was the first in many years that actually delivered a full page as a sample test. I don't think I have older stuff saved anymore. Mostly because it was still quite not there in terms of skills, I'm afraid.

Now I would like to see the test sample of other artists who works for you

mr gdf

The linework isn't bad at all. Although, Peter's face in the last cell could be improved ^^ The colors are a bit over saturated though. I'd say they could be a good addition to your team, with a little guidance ( which you are great at! )

Alx

Great work on the composition and readability! The only issue I might watch out for is that the skin colors are waay too saturated. But everything else is on fire!

Everyone deserves a shot. They can’t get better if they aren’t allowed to try

Nick

Overall, I think it’s good. In the Felicia gymnastics frame, the first figure is a bit off color wise and…ummm…chest wise. But the art itself is good and seems to generally fit the theme(s) common in your works.

PsyberSkald

Black Cat's face looks a bit wacky, but everything else is frankly fantastic! Great work IMO.

Cesar The Salad

The action, faces, and anatomy are great, but the there's something about the characters that look like they were drawn separately and placed together, rather than drawn together.

Dr. Judge, Private Eye

Good use of layout and they know their stuff with anatomy. I would love to see this artist doing a full strip.

Andrew Dodd

I usually write my own stories. In rare, and very special cases, I have co-writers join me penning a specific comic. Even rarer, I have other people's stories released in the form of Treats.

Tracy Scops

Is there something similar for writers or is that something only you do?
