It has been a long tradition that people travel for days, even weeks, to visit the Dragon Queen and make a request of her. It has even become a holiday, and every year people from all over the world make the trip to seek an audience with her.
That's why you set out too, hoping to find a lost family heirloom that your grand parents remember fondly. You unfortunately had a late trip to your journey, and rush in hoping to still have made it in time to make your own request.
