Caught In The Spider Queen's Web

Life has generally been... ok. You have a stable job, plenty to eat, and a roof over your head every night. That's more than some people can say, and you try to remind yourself of how good you have it. And generally it does help keep your spirits up. Hell, people are always going to explore the cave system nearby and never return, but you have never lost anyone like the rest of your neighbors have.
At least until recently. Your childhood friend went into the caves the other day, looking for the treasure that is rumored to lie buried within from ages long since past. And like so many others he has not returned. Nervous, but determined to help him, you gather supplies and head into the cave yourself. Before long you slip off a steep ledge and fall unconscious. And when you wake you find yourself caught in an enormous web.
