Added 2021-08-02 06:39:03 +0000 UTCAs you can see, I played around a lot with the mouth and ears. Ears up or down? Mouth open or closed? What about partially open/down? You get the idea. In the end I'm happy with what I chose. Him sighing or saying something doesn't really add anything, and having his ears up helps him show he's entering a new frame of mind. I decided to give the viewer a chance to piece things together themselves.
I actually have a bunch of sketches of different variations of the bottom two panels, but I neglected to save them out. I'll post them another day!
