Thank you + Important changes in November

💖First of all, I want to thank everyone, and especially those who voted and expressed their opinion in the comments section of the previous posts. 💖

I have heard you and all that you said in addition to the poll result reassured me as an artist and as how I should proceed. I will continue doing BDz drawings, and doing these AI generations under another name was a good idea since I will create a secondary account for those in patreon or Subscribestar-Adult. I will let you know when it is ready.

On another note, there is a very important matter that i need to bring to your attention, and that is apple pressuring Patreon to change its subscription billing cycle system. If you haven't heard about this already, you can read more about it here. Also, subscribing from the apple store will cost you 30% more than anywhere else, because they charge an outrageous fee, I think it's a shameless rip-off, really. This will happen November 2024.

The implied change is that instead of subscribing any day of a month, paying once at this date and then at each month's beginning; a subscriber will be charged at the same date he became a patreon each month, thus breaking my one-month-content cycle model. Accessing to all content as soon as you subscribe is great, but sadly might be no longer an option with this upcoming billing cycle forced upon us.

Why you might wonder? Because as you may know, when you become a patron, you get access to the previous month's worth of content and the current one. So if I keep the instant access to content and the one-month-content cycle, a subscriber that -for exemple- becomes a patrons on the 15h will get two and a half month worth of content instead of two but might miss the last content I create in a month which is animated artwork.

So this changes my model. There are a couple of solutions I've thought of:

Keep instant access but stop keeping previous months' content accessible in the dropbox, because with the new billing cycle any subscribers will inherently have access to two month's content anyway until they unsubscribe, and those who's renewal date are close the 1st/30th/31th will have to be quick to get the content before I update the folders.
Remove instant access and go back to the old fashion way of sending the rewards to all who were an active subscriber the last day of the month, which sucks because you'd have to wait a whole month before getting the content.
Keeping instant access and opening up annual membership plan, but only those who subscribe to an annual plan would have immediate access to content; the monthly plan subscribers would have to wait each month's end to get what they paid for. However I couldn't figure out how to filter this kind of annual plan subscription in the filters to send out messages, maybe patreon devs will add a new option to do so in the future, so as of now this is not viable or be a last-resort option.

I think the first option is the best one. It will be annoying for some of you who are billed the firsts or lasts days of the month, but it's the best way I've thought of to keep the best of the advantages currently ongoing. So unless I think of a better way, starting November this is how things will work. 😢

I think this is a good opportunity to bring so changes to the current tier system, since I might have to tweak the prices. But before doing so, I would like to know what are you interested in the most in the content I produce to adapt the best way.
