Buff-bellied Hummingbird

I was also tasked with writing a short paragraph about myself and my work in third person...
Alex Tomlinson is an American artist who illustrates birds and other creatures in a flat and colorful style that strives to be simple but well-observed. As with most of his illustrations, this hummingbird started as a sketch that he then traced over in the Glyphs font editing program. As a part-time type designer, he finds the microscopic control of each BΓ©zier curve to be a meditative part of his process. Tomlinson describes knowing and seeing birds as βa joy I could not live without.β
Also attached is a rare screenshot of my Bezier curve illustration in Glyphs! I don't often share this part of the process because the screenshots can look scary, but please let me know if you would want to see more of it!
