2024-11-25 21:29:18 +0000 UTCJust wanted to note that even if The Wire is fiction, the characters are based on real people from when writer David Simon shadowed the Baltimore homicide unit for a year. If you like the Wire, highly recommend also watching Homicide: Life on the Streets, which NBC recently put on Peacock streaming! A lot of overlap in writers, producers, and actors.
