Case 263: Kim Barry

When Brian and Beverly Barry returned from a weekend away to discover their 19-year-old daughter Kim was gone, they initially assumed she was out with friends. Then news broke that a body had been found in some bushland south of their home in Wollongong, New South Wales, and it wasn’t long before the truth came out. Kim had been murdered and brutally mutilated after a night out with a friend. The crime had all the hallmarks of a gangland slaying… but police soon honed in on an acquaintance of Kim’s named Graham Gene Potter…

Case 263: Kim Barry

Comments

I'm really surprised he wasn't given bail AGAIN after his last capture. Apparently Australia has as bad a time with bail as we have in the United States. The ones that really make my blood boil are the one's who are given bail or parole and then commit violent crimes, murder or murder again. I believe the judge or parole board members should be charged or have to complete the sentences of the ones they let out. That may make them take a better look at who they're letting back into society.

That story of Potter's is ridiculous. They're going to kill the girl and leave him as a witness....bullshit! Also to try to smear Kim as being mixed up with drug dealers shows just what a coward he really is.

The description gives everything away

Good ep.

Even if he was innocent, he certainly fell the wrong way with the second chance. Imagine every day on the run, literally who are you anymore?

Personally found this one of the most interesting episodes of late. Thanks casefile! Will keep an ear out on how his trial goes. Rip Kim 💜

Our justice system is seriously flawed, to allow this individual early release would have been devastating for Kim’s family. But to take the second chance he was handed to turn his life around and blow it shows that this man has no conscience. Hopefully our justice system does the right thing and lock him up for life.

Good coverage case file!

Shows how the power of love can delude you. How his family could have believed that story. I have people I love so much. Yet I think that if any of them told me that story I’d be like ‘oh you did it’. Such a short sentence that’s crazy though. Good episode as always.

Great episode

Renae Bartlett

A very manipulative and cunning man.
