Premium Episode #19 - Monster of the Andes

In the late 1970s, young girls along the Andes mountain range in Ecuador began to disappear. By 1980, the number of missing girls had reached national crisis proportions. Police feared the girls had been abducted by international child traffickers and sold into domestic and sexual slavery. That was until a vigilant market vendor spotted something out of the ordinary.

They should have let the ants get him 🐜🐜🐜

To think that hundreds of children could still be alive if a 'holier than thou' christian missionary had minded her own business. I know these people are too far up on their own asses, but I hope she regretted that every single day of her miserable life. Also, cheers to the president of Ecuador, telling the citizens to trust the justice system, just for that justice system to not give a single shit about releasing the most prolific murderer on history back to the world.

Daniel

Awesome. Truly appreciated. You have considerable power to effect changes in perception 🙌

Keaner

Thanks Keaner. Good point. We will edit that line prior to the episode being released widely. Thanks for highlighting it.

Casefile True Crime

Anyone that murders anyone, specifically kids, should not be eligible for any sort of "good behavior." This is one of the biggest f**k ups I've ever read. And that missionary has blood on her hands.

Lamar Moore

What an upsetting and infuriating story. Once again, a white Christian missionary swoops in to put their nose where it doesn’t belong. Wonder how she feels now….

Mandy G

That was infuriating

Emily Moore

That's exactly what I was thinking!

SalBee

Cheers to that missionary hey.

SalBee

I think all those men who thought it was normal for a grownass man to ask 9 year olds for help instead of other grown men had better be watched carefully woth kids as well. At least until they learn common sense.

Demi

This is one of the most insane cases I’ve heard. Casefile once again blows mind completely. Best podcast out there, hands down.

Emily Moore

Utterly horrendous, including the wrongs of the justice systems. Kudos to the woman who implored the men in the square to hang onto him! Casefile: please be careful on your wording. An 11-year-old girl selling newspapers solo in a city square is never doing a “labour of love.” This is abject poverty at the family level and child abuse at the societal level.

Keaner

Mind blown. 🤯

Miri Dean

I was hoping you would cover this case one day

Saraneth

Well, that was grotesque

Alien Princess

No disrespect but it is Colombia not Columbia. It is an annoyance to always have it mispronounced. Thanks!

Monica

Perfectly articulated AR

Casefile True Crime
