What is your favourite dessert/cake?

Firstly, I never want to know Casey's real identity. Secondly, have you come across any crimes where a pet has lead to an arrest of a killer? If I committed a crime my Tenterfield Terriers' hair would convict me for certain. (Transference) Sandra.

I agree with you

Hi Neil We've already recorded the Q&A, so I will answer you here. If you are not 'musical' then start small. You don't need 40 minutes of music - just a few short cues and themes and place them in spots where you think they'd work. Download some music (royalty free etc.) that you like and try to copy it yourself - that is, writing a similar thing. Also, start working with free synths and virtual instruments first - there are plenty out there that you can find. (For example, Labs from Spitfire is a constantly expanding library of free instruments). Then if you are interested in doing this - do some online courses. I take them all the time as the learning never stops. I hope that helps! Mike

Mike would you have any tips on scoring a podcast yourself? I have always thought about doing a story podcast but scoring is so intimidating as I’m not musical. I feel like finding 40mins of stock music per ep and matching it minute by minute would be crazy hard

Neil A.

Casey, how long have you been doing BJJ? What's your game/style like?

Hey casefile team, Long time listeners, first time patreon writers. We love the pod. There’s been a few episodes that have been removed from the feed. Are you able to tell us why some of them were removed? We are aware there are some you can’t tell us for reasons you can’t get into, but are there some you can tell us? For example, we loved the Beth Barnard episode. Even though we also loved Vicki’s podcast, The vanishing of Vivienne Cameron, we felt a touch of sadness we were no longer able to listen to our favourite casefile episode anymore. Have a good one! Sarah and Georgie 🙂

Georgie

Hullo Casefile Team! Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into each episode! Your show is so unique, in my opinion, in that you don’t provide commentary on the subjects and victims of the crimes like some other podcasts do; you divulge the facts of the case and tell a fascinating story. What made you decide to take this path when developing your podcast? Was it always your intention to present the stories this way?

I am reposting some of the questions that I was too late to ask last time... here it goes: For Casey: Over the course of the past six years, how has your job as narrator affected your voice, or your health in general? Do you take any special considerations to take care of yourself? After all, your voice is the signature of this show. For the writers: Are there any differences in how you write the episode for cases that are solved vs. unresolved? For everyone: If you could collaborate with another podcast (or media production company) for a multipart or special feature, who would you pick? Lastly, what is something that Americans eat that you find bizarre or unappealing? This can be a whole “dish” or an ingredient or product (example: I, an American, find marmite/vegemite bizarre)

Hey Team Not sure if it’s been asked discussed previously, but when do you guys intend to return to re-make the Snowtown episode? Thanks for all of the amazing episodes!

For Casey - Have you any plans to expand the Casefile universe further? Would an anonymous live show ever be something you'd be interested in? For Mike - What software do you use for your music production? Is there any inspiration behind the music?

Hi Team I just want to say thank you so much for the ongoing hard work you all do, you put together outstanding episodes week after week. I recommend your podcast to everyone I meet, even those who aren't big on true crime. I love listening to old episodes and just seeing how far you have come. I've been a long time fan, and love both the old and new style of narration. Top notch job team! 💜

Hi CaseFile team. First up, I want to thank you for doing an episode on Alison Botha that I have requested for ages 🤣 to say you did an amazing job would be an understatement. I’ve always wondered, has there ever been a case that you have wanted to cover, but had to walk away from due to lack of information? As in the family/authorities wouldn’t give information/interviews of no materials available to research?

Amanda Lewis

Mike- favourite way to eat varenyky? Savoury or sweet? (Or perogies sorry 😜)

Monica

Firstly, thanks to you Casey and the whole Casefile team for putting together such a fantastic podcast. By far my favourite of the many I listen to. The information you provide is always so thorough, what sources do you use for your research? There is a case that I plan to research which took place in my hometown in the UK many years ago, I just don’t know where to start.

You guys have covered pretty much every topic imaginable - murders, cyber crime, cannibalism, pedophile rings, snuff films, gang rapes - is there any crime you're not willing to write/talk about? Also, it took me ages (four years...) to realize Mike was Polish. Are you familiar with the Skóra case? The trial of the alleged perpetrator is underway and it's all top secret but maybe you guys could work your magic? I'd love to hear another Polish case covered by Casefile.

Has any of the crew completed post-secondary education? If so, what did they study?

Question for Casey - Jatz or Savoys?

Rhi Sheree

Have you ever divulged to anyone the identity of the anonymous host

La Ura

With so many bands back on the road, do any of you have any gigs coming up? Or any bands you’re hoping to see this year

Joe D

Have you all considered a new type of podcast series with more stories like Franca Viola? True crime or tragedies which changed laws or social norms? I really enjoyed that episode and know it will stick with me the same way Shergar still does. The historic pieces you've done are some of the most fascinating (in my opinion).

Carolyn Barry

This one may have been asked before so I’m sorry if I’ve missed it. I wondered if when the writers are putting together the scripts can they hear the anonymous hosts voice in their mind and write accordingly?
