Update and Hiatus

I have cosplay plans for a group for Wondercon next year :) We'll be doing an Inuyasha group and I'm making a few things for that! I think I'll also be doing Arcade Qiyana for that too.

I'll also be putting my Patreon on pause starting October. Life/work right now just isn't giving me enough free time to work on cosplay or edit videos/photos. I keep trying to make/find time and it's just not happening ;^^ I'm working slower on everything than I'd like to be and the pandemic didn't help...

Pennywise

Gonna try to get some more Pennywise photos and videos edited this month :) So I have some Halloween stuff. Also gonna start my Final Fantasy cosplay OR, if funds allow, a cosplay for the first con I'll be going to (next year) finally ;n; Not sure who? I'm thinking Arcade Qiyana b/c I have some stuff for that.

Arrows

Gluing the feathers on now and then the arrows are done. I think once this is done the last thing I need to do is braid the rope and add closures and style the wig and I thiiinkkkk that’ll be it?

Also I think I’ve finally found a spot near me that will work for photos. But I think I’m going to need to wait for it to be later in the year since there hasn’t been any rainfall. The area is going to look very dry and not like the photos I’m seeing on google xD

New video

This one was an actual paid for sponsored video so I had to upload it live to YouTube rather than here first. Have some videos coming though.

I had to redo these arrows since I cut them too short to start.. but then I got dowels of different sizes when I ordered all 1/4” ones 😭 sigh.. I wait for ANOTHER shipment .-.

Marigold Cargos

Downloaded this phone game (HighRise) to play in my off time when I’m out and they have some cute clothes so I decided to make these pants from the game. Okay. A few more non-cosplay, irl projects I need to finish up then it’s back to finishing the finally pieces for Aloy. I have the dowels for the arrows just sitting in the corner. I’ll also be making some more clothes from this game (have the fabric already). I’ve recorded it as well and will get some more videos edited this week!!<...

Mermaid!

I was a mermaid for a friends company over the weekend. When we get photos back (expected next month) I’ll share what I can :) that post will be public though b/c it’s not like myyy content. Just what I have permission to share on social media.

Getting the small details done. She’s almost done??? I think! I’ll have to double check everything. But I think I just need to style the wig, braid the rope and add a few more wraps and beads here and there 😱 speaking of beads. I 3D printed the ones for the bow! Someday I’ll use my 3D printer to make something more fancy 😅

Templates this month!

First photo! Was not about to do body paint in the middle of a heat wave, and honestly, if I'm just taking photos I'd rather just photoshop it. So much quicker and no clean up + the costume doesnt get messed up either! xD SO, that's what I did~

Besides attaching a few decorative rope pieces it’s all done! Straps are attached now and everything. Still debating on how I want to attach the horn to my head though 😅

Airbrush

Figured I just can’t get metallics to work with my airbrush. How much do you have to thin them? It’s basically coming out clear and still clogs 😭 Normal colors like this are much easier though. So at least I was able to get this nice gradient in the end!

Steps for taping off props

How I get tape into the small spaces. I press the tape into place and trace out the edges then use scissors to cut that out.

Taped stuff off because I was origin going to airbrush but it keeps clogging and I’m not sure why anymore 😅 so I’ve given up and switched to acrylics. Ill try to get it working to do the gradients instead.

Just need to make the last leg piece. It took a while due to everything happening with the past year and such, on top of some personal things, to find the motivation I once had for cosplay. But I did! I’m back to crafting a majority of the day! Given the past few days have been nothing but hand sanding after every filler layer 😭 but at least I’m actually genuinely enjoying it again! :) It doesn’t feel like a chore anymore 😅 so yay!
