John was one of just two doctors in Kipling and every time Lisa went into town, she was stopped in the street by well-meaning locals who told her how lucky she was to be married to “such a wonderful man”. She entirely agreed with them.

Who knows how many women and girls she saved from the same fate. For those interested, the episode is called “Bad Blood”, season 6, episode 18 and it’s on YouTube, at least in the US.
