Although outgoing and social, Karina was quite dependent on her friends and family. By working in America, she hoped to show her parents that she could stand on her own two feet.
Karina was happy and excited as she farewelled her family at the airport. Just before she boarded the plane, she said: “I hope I’m doing the right thing.”
