The people that insisted Jack be freed are the same type of people that give Roman Polanski standing ovations at Cannes. Absolutely despicable.

Wow! The way this was told was unbelievable! Almost like you were watching it happen. Loved it! My favourite one so far!

Great coverage as usual!!

David Rogosaroff

Thanks Raymond. Norman Mailer does sound right. Demi. I thought casefile did do the Hernandez case but I can’t see it. Maybe I read a book about that case.

MM

Sounds like you are referring to the author Norman Mailer I believe it was, who helped get a guy out who had written a book while in prison called "In The Belly of the Beast". I don't recall the guys name.

Such a great twist with how Jack's involvement in the US murders was brought about. I was trying to guess at Pulitzer winners and then my stomach sank when it was revealed the journalist got on a plane and I realized what was happening. The Austrian law about not being legally considered guilty because Jack died during his appeal is interesting because Massachusetts has a similar law. Aaron Hernandez, who I don't think Casefile covered, also killed himself after being convicted but during the appeal process so he can't be legally called guilty even though the jury said he was. He's the most high-profile case of the law in effect because he was a pro athlete (in case any non-US fans don't know him). It's always fascinating to see when the same odd legal quirks pop up around the world!

Excellent work as always. Reminds me a bit of an American killer who’s cause was supported by a famous American author. Was it Truman Capote? This killer was released from jail only to kill again. I forget. Really bummed I did not know of Maliovich’s interest in this case. And his performance. When it was active.

MM

I can only imagine the amount of time and effort that goes into the podcast. I appreciate it. Thank you!

How have I heard so many podcasts cover Jack Unterweger and never knew how many victims he had?! Casefile, you continue to bring the most informative storytelling of any podcast out there.
