+1 to this.... What a sad (must be said) but what a stunningly and sensitively told story.. Classic Case File 👌

What an insane twist! And here I was rooting for Ryan at the start when he punched Gail's ex for assaulting her when she left him. Such a sad story for a happy young couple.

You're welcome! Hope you're having a good weekend.

Matthew Drake

Thanks Matthew, great spot. We fixed it now.

This episode was brilliantly put together. I had no idea about this case and couldn’t believe what i was hearing.

Julia Stephens

Great episode! A minor observation: at around 51:17 when it says 'Gail's phone', is it supposed to be 'Pam's phone'? Keep up the good work! You guys are amazing at what you do.

Matthew Drake

May they rest in peace. That was a punchy case for sure.....

I’m part way through the episode and I’m so angry. Ryan has some audacity to forcibly give a woman his burden after killing his sister and brother in law, threaten her life if she dare share his secret, then spend the rest of her life (until she broke) controlling her and your whole family to the point where she makes all the money for the family because he cannot not have control of the kids by home schooling them. I try and be open and compassionate even to perpetrators because we all have our stories and lived experiences but Ryan is genuinely a terrible person who did everything but take responsibility for his actions. He is the most infuriating kind of person.

This one went in a direction I didn't expect halfway through. Think this case also proves how valuable cold case units and reviews really are.

Charles Comiskey

Hi Jamee yes. But I very, very rarely log in. Only to do the occasional post on a new release, or the last post was regarding the charity run I did I think. Thank you!

Casefile True Crime

What an awful, sad case. It’s unbelievable that someone’s own sibling could do something like that.

Mandy G

Cheers again team. I thought it would be not guilty because the case was so circumstantial. I also half expected to find out that Ryan was covering for Pam.

Mark Ofmalovia

Another episode with an amazingly structured plot. Erin, you are amazing at what you do! Keep up the good work!!!

David Rogosaroff

How awful!! That poor family, like what the actual heck!!

Courtney Martin

Oh my gosh... such a sad case... I won't ever be able to fathom how someone is able to do something like this. I don't care what has happened in your family life, but this is not the answer.

Connor Kimmel

Great case! Sad to think someone is capable of causing so much destruction to their own family and get away with it for so long.

Demi

Thank you for this episode. Excellent as always.

Erin you’re bringing it with research

Casey, I heard you say on a recent AMA that you don’t check any social media anymore (and I don’t blame you one bit!), but clicking on the “anonymous host” link takes us to your Twitter handle. Do you check / run that account? Just curious. You’re amazing and thank you for all you do!!

Jamee K

Love the episodes that are researched by Erin. Can’t wait to listen to this tonight
