It's time for the next addition of Behind the Files, covering Case 164 Cindy James, Case 165 Nicholas Barclay and Case 166 The Family, and we are now taking your questions on Behind the Files episodes! Is it possible that she was murdered by Jack Unterweger. He has the same M.O.-he’s made harassing phone calls, uses the victims pantyhose, likes knots. Shot in the dark.

2021-02-20 06:40:44 +0000 UTCIt still baffles me with how Fredric got away with being Nicholas for so long, do you feel it’s just the timing (as in it was in the late 90s) or just the family wanting to find him? But in saying that I also think the family could have something to do with him disappearing as the mother was so insistent on it being him even after being told it absolutely wasn’t AND refusing a DNA test. It’s all really bizarre to me! I also wonder if his disappearance has anything to do with the Johnny Gosch case and the children going missing randomly off the streets.

I’m curious about your use of the words “sexual assault” vs “rape” in certain parts of the episode. You said Miss P sexually assaulted that underaged boy and later he had physical trauma, but later for another victim it was stated that they were raped by Beven von Einem. Are you just being cautious about using the words sexual assault vs rape, is it a stylistic choice, or was it a legal difference about the acts being carried out by a man vs by a woman?

2021-02-16 07:07:59 +0000 UTCI can't recall now but for the case of Nicholas Barclay, did they thoroughly investigate? Is it still being investigated as a cold case? That poor boy. No one knows what happend to him. So sad. Cindy James case is so baffling. So sad. So confusing. If she did this to herself why for 7 years?! And did she kill those cats? And who was that man outside when the fire was set to her house? Very coincidence. And he ran. I wish people helped her more. Also, her ex husband, did he move to Richmond when she moved there? Thank you. You all did such a great job! I can't wait to listen to The family. Still not on Podbean.
