2020-08-08 20:45:58 +0000 UTCMy licorice pizza for the new Larry Arms just arrived. <3 It is cold beverage worthy and was well worth the wait. It kinda reminds me of Metropole, but more frustrated...so, kinda like being an adult, nowadays. Haha! It's perfect. It, and that new Ak3 are the best things around, imho. "Minds Like Minefields" is impossible not to wail along with. Sometimes, blowing out your voice to a good, face paced jam, makes all the difference. Also, very glad to hear you snagged the vinyl! Excited for ya! It sounds incredible!

2020-08-08 04:24:13 +0000 UTCHi Kara. Thank you. I haven't really faced any obstacles no. The decision came down to not wanting to have a host or a personality attached to the show. I just wanted the focus on the stories and I felt an anonymous host was the best way to do that. There are a few things you could do: there's nothing to stop you from sharing the story yourself as an anonymous host. You could also find a show to tell the story for you respectfully and keep your identity anonymous.

2020-08-06 23:38:45 +0000 UTCCasey- Did you face many obstacles in Podcasting as an Anonymous Host? Was your decision to remain anonymous driven by a personal relation to a True Crime case, or a desire to protect your personal life? What advice do you have for others who have personal True Crime stories, that wish to share it anonymously? My family has unfortunate ties to multiple high profile cases, I'd like to share it one day, but value my privacy. Thanks- absolutely love the work that you and your team do.

2020-08-06 17:32:04 +0000 UTCHi Jason, I haven't listened to the new Lawrence Arms album yet, only because I pre ordered the vinyl. And due to delays in shipping it hasn't arrived yet. So I want to wait for that to get here and sit back with a cold drink and enjoy. I have listened to the new AK3 single and loved it! What's your verdict on both? Good to hear your enjoying The Decline and Nerdlinger. Good bands!

2020-08-06 04:09:27 +0000 UTCFor Casey, have you had the chance to listen to the new Lawrence Arms album or AK3 single? If so. what’re your thoughts? If not, thanks for getting me into the Decline and Nerdlinger, been listening to lots of them while in my empty, dark accounting office. Nice balance to the horrors of true crime. 🤘 stay safe everyone and much love! ❤️

2020-08-06 01:55:32 +0000 UTCHi Stefan, 1. Yes we are willing to help in any way we can. 2. Thank you! Not for the first season, but potentially in future seasons there may be some overlap. There is definitely potential to do something like that.

2020-08-05 22:13:05 +0000 UTCFor the case of Cindy and Mona-Lisa, I will propose this case to Truth and Justice although they deal with American cases usually. I will see what they say.

2020-08-05 19:44:45 +0000 UTC1. For Cindy and Mona-Lisa will Casefile be involved in a campaign for an inquiry into their deaths? I think it’s a worthy cause. 2. Enjoying Whats Missing so far! Will the two shows overlap in anyway such as old Casefile case family members being featured on Whats Missing? or maybe these Whats Missing episodes could also be turned into Casefile episodes?

2020-08-05 07:12:19 +0000 UTCHi Ina, I do reside in Australia and no I don't make changes to the scripts. I am involved in researching some episodes.

2020-08-04 22:36:01 +0000 UTCHi Brandy, the letter was written by the family of the victim's after we had spoken to them for the story. Yes definitely. EARONS was the big one as I have written above, but there have been others also. There is a case that will be released next month where we were contacted by friends and family.

2020-08-04 22:34:37 +0000 UTCHi Michael. It was a case that I had marked down to cover from very early on. I only had basic knowledge of it back then, but thought it was one that would be good to bring attention too. And we were then actually contacted by family members towards the end of 2016 which is when things started to get into motion. At that point it went from, 'this is a case I want to cover' to, 'this is a case we are definitely going to cover'. The family members were looking to bring awareness to the case and educate the public and played a big part in our series coming together. I wasn't personally aware of the book until the episodes were coming together. The Golden State Killer wasn't a widely used name at all back then as it was pre publication of the book.

2020-08-04 22:30:19 +0000 UTCDo you write your own script or make changes to scripts written by your team? Do you reside in Australia? Thank you!

2020-08-04 19:15:08 +0000 UTCI notice with a recent case that the family of the victims wrote an open letter to the Casefile team. Is this what prompted that case or was this already in the works prior to the family reaching out? Also, have any other families reached out to Casefile and prompted an episode on a case? Thanks!!

2020-08-04 14:51:54 +0000 UTCHow did you decide to do the East Area Rapist case before De Angelo was on the radar and it wasn't in the news much? Was it the Michelle McNamara book?

2020-08-04 08:32:44 +0000 UTCHi Quinton, we do! An upcoming case occurred in 2018. That episode will be out next month.

2020-08-03 23:31:01 +0000 UTCI think Tom Brown might be the most recent case covered. Was wondering if you folks have any other post-2010 cases lined up for this year?
