Case 130: Joe Cinque

Comments

Joe is dead and the state sponsors Anu to study law. This s disgusting. She was a very natural manipulator so apt career choice I guess.

What an infuriating episode. Guess you can just kill someone without much consequence as long as you can convince a judge you’re super depressed or whatever bullshit excuse. That judge is worthless

This episode was heartbreaking - I cannot believe no one said anything. I can completely understand Joe's parents frustration. She should not have been given such a light sentence. What a joke.

This case is. Just when I thought I could anticipate what was going to happen. I was wrong. Joe was let down by a lot of people and my heart holds space for him and his family. When you hear cases like this, I think, it’s hard to imagine people moving on with their lives but to hear how everyone has as if they hadn’t been affected by what happened to Joe is... wild to me

Time and again I think I know a case, only for you guys to cover it and make me realise I really didn't know it properly. Thank you, awesome job!

Juanita

Holy crap !!!....what a bunch of evil people. Makes you wonder how they treat their enemies...oh, wait...they became lawyers.

Candice Williams

Poor Joe. What a horrible group of friends too.

Storme

This is beyond tragic, I’m honestly dumbfounded this occurred. How could it? I’m surprised she hasn’t reoffended in some way.

This is one of the most frustrating episodes I've ever listened to. It's like, life itself, just let Joe down. His light was snuffed out in front of so many people, and not in a subtle "You guys think he's being abused?" kinda way. But, rather a "Im going to fucking kill him, tonight." kinda way, while everyone shrugs and enjoys the evening. "Oh wow, I love your hair! This house is soooo nice! He's gonna die, tonight? Hmm...but I love your hair!!" This wasn't some medieval town from the dark ages, this was just a few years ago, in a modern society and now all these people practice law? Fantastic episode guys!! Holyshit. <3 Def gonna snag Heather Garner's book. Thank you so much for all you do!

Mental illness should not even be a consideration. Murder is murder.

Bob Trenwith

And there was a horrendous failure of the mental health services in this case.

HelpFind Ajax&Stamp

Every person who knew but did not intervene should have been charged and convicted of endangering life.

HelpFind Ajax&Stamp

Ugh, this is so heartbreaking.

Alex Lash

So chilling how many of the people in Joe and Anu’s friends group who did nothing to intervene in Anu’s plans are now in law. Wow.
