I travel A LOT, back packing on longer oversees trips at least once a year. This is terrifying! This episode was a real rollercoaster to listen to. The rage at the bumbling idiocy of the local police caused me to rage quit this episode a few times before I finished it!

What happened in your case? If you're willing to share.

Stories like these make me happy I don't travel abroad. I guess as a male I would have less chance of this sort of stuff happening but still you never know. Also, just my opinion, but it seems obvious the hostel owners were in some way responsible based on the behaviors, the cell phone and the witness seeing the woman trying to mail Britt's passport. Shady stuff at these places. Sad tale.

First of all thanks for the early upload! Second of all, thank you for the top quality episode - you improve every time it feels. And that refers to all elements of an episode; narration, production, research and writing/storytelling. I was especially blown away by this one, having just been to Old Town Dubrovnic a few months ago. Being a non-Aussie (as you guys are familiar with majority of the cases) it feels a bit different when you finally can somehow relate to the location involved. Excellent episode! Thank you

I was right!

How heart breaking for the family! So many unanswered questions and so much denial from the police!

Sad one. Thank you for these longer episodes, perfect length !

how come the toxicology report didn't show presence of alcohol even though britt had been drinking that night? i had to listen to this ep in two parts so maybe i missed something.

Regarding her remains I wonder if the reason why more wasn't found was because the perpetrators dismembered her body for easier disposal and/or removed her teeth to prevent identification.

Very sad one. Hits close to home as I’ve done some solo travel and experienced a particularly scary incident abroad, I was lucky enough to escape relatively unscathed. And I can’t even imagine what her poor family has been through. On a lighter note, I’ve been enjoying/appreciating the longer episodes you guys have been putting out. Makes the graveyard shift go by a little faster. Casey, I listened to this latest podcast and then immediately went back and relistened to the Honolulu Stranger (~50 cases ago) and want to say your narration has improved so much since then! Not that it was bad before! Lol. But it’s definitely a noticeable improvement over a year ago, you’ve found a good flow and no longer sound like you’re reading from a script. I didn’t notice anything off in my first listen of the older episodes, but as I revisit them it’s really great to see how much improvement there is in your narration—and really, in all aspects of the podcast. So thanks everyone for the long hours and hard work!
