Fallout sunburst 22 part gif 05~06

Lighting has not been worked on yet

I’m currently working on a video and would like to hear your thoughts. The story features three combat scenes involving Paladins wearing T-51 power armor.

In the first combat scene, a Paladin ambushes NCR soldiers the moment they unlock a sealed door, opening fire with a machine gun to delay their advance. The NCR troops take cover and close in, then seize the Paladin’s reload window to coordinate a push with a flamethrower operator and several supporting soldiers. At that moment, a grenade directly impacts the power armor, damaging its outer plating and knocking the Paladin down. NCR soldiers armed with BARs move in and unleash concentrated fire at close range to finish the Paladin.

In the second combat scene, another Paladin ambushes the NCR, eliminating the flamethrower and grenade launcher operators to buy more time. However, when a pulse grenade disrupts the armor’s systems, an NCR soldier rushes forward and fires into a gap in the armor at close range, killing the Paladin. Meanwhile, a Veteran Ranger receives an AMR from NCR troops arriving from the rear and assembles it on the spot.

In the third combat scene, Lucius and the final Paladin face off in a long corridor. The assembled AMR is used by the Veteran Ranger to snipe and kill the Paladin. One Veteran Ranger is killed in the process, and the remaining Rangers and NCR troops are eventually isolated by the HELIOS defense system that Lucius previously activated. They are overwhelmed by the automated machines, bringing the interior battle to an end.

My main concern is whether the first combat scene makes the power armor look too weak, given that it is disabled by a grenade launcher strike and then finished off with concentrated BAR fire at close range. The sequence of direct grenade impact → armor damage → knockdown → close-range suppression is intended to show that power armor is still tough and threatening, but I’d like to hear your opinions on whether that portrayal is convincing. The other two combat scenes seem reasonable to me, as they exploit known weaknesses of power armor within Fallout lore — pulse grenades being extremely effective, and modified AMR ammunition providing enough firepower. If the power armor still feels underwhelming, I can consider other solutions beyond simply adding NCR troops with Gauss rifles. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

just another comment - personally im not a fan of a grenade knocking over a power armored dude. if it's a german potato-masher-concussion style grenade it's going to have negligible effect on the power armored dude as there are recorded instances of unarmoured humans surviving near direct impacts from conc grenades and it has limited shrapnel to begin with anyway. A fragmentation grenade would have nowhere near enough force to knock over , or in my opinion, do meaningful damage to the armored plates of powered armor. Also with the flamethrower blasting flames through an entire hallway I'm not sure how viable it is for someone to chuck a grenade with enough accuracy to hit a Paladin head on. Maybe if a grenade was rolled underneath and between the legs of the paladin then the blast could displace him or the shrapnel could damage the leg servos to knock him over

Since day 1. I was a your youtuber supporter back then. In the time you were working on this project I got hired at a job. Fired then hired again at the same place with a pay increase cause I was the only one who knew how to do the job. Don't let the fam or work consume you. you are more than this series🫡

I think this is a fair treatment of power armor. it has joints in it that are vulnerable and even small arms fire is capable of damage optics or causing disorientation to crew inside armored vehicles - so it's not a stretch to think the same can be done to a guy inside power armor. Even in warhammer 40k , baseline humans with autoguns and pikes can hurt astartes by targeting joints in their power armor. if anything , the paladin power walking through a wall of bullets might even be TOO STRONG - because there is a very real chance that a round could penetrate his visor/breathing tubes or damage the softer parts of his armor. I do wonder if for one of the paladins, it might be cool to show NCR melee shock troops using their axes/shovels to go for the joints - since so far all of the Paladins have been killed by explosives / firearms. it would be like a gaggle of peasants/footmen ganging up on a knight in full plate . since the NCR shock troops are already drugged up, I dont think this is a stretch for them to do meaningful damage through the armor joints with daggers and axes

Looks great brother. Maybe you can incorporate some super sledges or power fists with the paladins when their weapons run out of ammo. Nothing like some good CQC melee weapons with power armor.

Only thing I can add to the BAR scene is they concentrate fire on his helmet definitely a horrifying sight looking up at three enemy soldiers holding rifles in your face and emptying them.
