💠 GRAND UTOPIA OF AMERICA

🔰 Utopia
The town of Utopia, the historic birthplace of Grand Utopia of America, is now almost complete! This week, I completed the eastern entrance to the town. This will provide a link to Aldmoor Point via the CR-2 (County Road 2), adding a new practical and picturesque link between these two towns in the county of Lochburn.

The south of the town has also been completed, and I'm delighted to announce that you will be able to use the old metal bridge, known as the Diego de Valera Bridge, to access Oxheller Island. This historic bridge is named after the Spanish explorer Diego de Valera, a key figure in the history of the archipelago, known for his explorations which marked the beginnings of the colonisation of this region.

I've also started installing street name signs throughout Utopia. Each street will be given a unique name, designed to enhance immersion and give the city more personality. These details will make it easier for players to find their way around the city while discovering street names that match the history and atmosphere of Utopia.

I now need to finish the western part of the town. Once that's finished, I'll be able to officially declare Utopia complete! Although there are still many days of work to be done, everything is moving in the right direction, and I'm confident that I'll be able to offer an alpha version of Grand Utopia of America by the end of the year. My aim for this first version is to ideally include at least two cities to give you a first immersive glimpse of this ambitious new project. I'll keep you informed when the time comes, of course.

💠 MORE AMERICAN CITIES

🔰 Utah
This week, I had the pleasure of adding a new location to the More American Cities (Utah) edition. Although not strictly speaking a town, Cove Fort is an iconic place in Utah's history. Built in 1867, the fort served as a relay point for travellers, stagecoaches and mail convoys, linking the north and south of the territory. This volcanic stone fort, both solid and strategic, is one of the few of its era to have been preserved in its original state.

In More American Cities (Utah), Cove Fort will come to life as a unique and symbolic stop on your travels, combining history and exploration. I hope you enjoy discovering and incorporating this town into your itineraries in the American West!

🔰 Replay cancelled
Unfortunately I have to announce that the planned replay of the live broadcast from 27 September will not be published due to a technical problem. During the recording, I forgot that I had configured the audio into two separate tracks: one for my microphone and another for the participants' voices. However, I noticed that, once the upload to YouTube was complete, only the track for my microphone was taken into account. This means that you can't hear the other members taking part in the discussion, which makes the video incomprehensible and uninteresting.

I would like to apologise for this error. I know that some of you have been waiting for this replay, and I'm really sorry that I can't bring it to you. I'll be paying extra attention to the technical aspects in the future to avoid this kind of problem happening again...

💠 GRAND UTOPIA OF AMERICA

🔰 Utopia
La ville d’Utopia, berceau historique de Grand Utopia of America, est désormais presque terminée ! Cette semaine, j’ai finalisé l’entrée Est de la ville. Celle-ci permettra de rejoindre Aldmoor Point via la CR-2 (County Road 2), ajoutant une nouvelle liaison pratique et pittoresque entre ces deux localités du comté de Lochburn.

Le sud de la ville a également été achevé, et je suis heureux de vous annoncer que vous pourrez emprunter le vieux pont métallique, baptisé Diego de Valera Bridge, pour accéder à Oxheller Island. Ce pont historique porte le nom de l’explorateur espagnol Diego de Valera, un personnage clé de l’histoire de l’archipel, connu pour ses explorations ayant marqué les débuts de la colonisation de cette région.

Aussi, j’ai débuté l’installation des panneaux indiquant les noms des rues à travers Utopia. Chaque rue se verra attribuer un nom unique, pensé pour enrichir l’immersion et donner davantage de personnalité à la ville. Ces détails permettront aux joueurs de mieux se repérer tout en découvrant des appellations qui s’harmonisent avec l’histoire et l’atmosphère d’Utopia.

Il me reste désormais à finir la partie ouest de la ville. Une fois celle-ci terminée, je pourrai officiellement déclarer Utopia comme complète ! Bien qu’il reste encore de nombreux jours de travail à prévoir, tout avance dans le bon sens, et je suis confiant quant à la possibilité de proposer une version alpha de Grand Utopia of America d’ici la fin de l’année.
Mon objectif pour cette première version est d’inclure idéalement au moins deux villes pour vous offrir un premier aperçu immersif de ce nouveau projet ambitieux. Je vous tiendrai informés le moment venu, bien évidemment.

🔰 Utah
Cette semaine, j’ai eu le plaisir d’ajouter une nouvelle localité à l’édition More American Cities (Utah). Bien qu’il ne s’agisse pas à proprement parler d’une ville, Cove Fort est un lieu emblématique de l’histoire de l’Utah. Construit en 1867, ce fort servait de relais pour les voyageurs, les diligences et les convois postaux, reliant le nord et le sud du territoire. Ce fort en pierre volcanique, à la fois solide et stratégique, est l’un des rares de son époque à avoir été préservé dans son état d’origine.

Dans More American Cities (Utah), Cove Fort prendra vie comme un arrêt symbolique et unique dans vos trajets, mêlant histoire et exploration. J’espère que vous apprécierez découvrir et intégrer cette localité à vos itinéraires dans l’Ouest américain !

🔰 Rediffusion annulée
Je dois malheureusement vous annoncer que la rediffusion prévue du live du 27 septembre dernier ne sera pas publiée en raison d’un problème technique. Pendant l’enregistrement, j’ai oublié que j'avais configuré l’audio en deux pistes distinctes : une pour mon micro et une autre pour les voix des participants. Cependant, j'ai remarqué que, une fois l'upload sur YouTube terminée, seule la piste de mon micro a été prise en compte. Cela signifie que l’on n’entend pas les autres membres qui participaient à la discussion, ce qui rend la vidéo incompréhensible et sans intérêt.

Je tiens à m’excuser pour cette erreur. Je sais que certains attendaient cette rediffusion, et je suis sincèrement désolé de ne pas pouvoir vous la proposer. Je vais redoubler d’attention sur les aspects techniques à l’avenir pour éviter que ce genre de problème ne se reproduise ...
