Advisory Council #2 – Our country needs its own flag!

Before you dive into this new historical consultation, imagine yourself in the late 1870s, at the heart of the Grand Utopia of America Advisory Council. As influential members of this young nation, you have the opportunity to shape its future. It's time to take the plunge: you are now in charge of choosing the flag that will unite and represent our country.

Dear Utopians,

We're at a major turning point in our young island nation, Grand Utopia of America. After solidifying our independence and organising our first counties, it's time to give our country a unifying symbol. A flag that will embody the values and spirit of our people, and fly proudly over the institutions of our nation.

The Advisory Council is meeting again today, and you, dear Utopians, have the unique opportunity to participate in the selection of the flag that will represent Grand Utopia of America. Two proposals have emerged, each conveying a unique vision of our identity.

• Proposal 1: The Union Stripes

The first proposal, dubbed ‘The Union Stripes’, is made up of red, white and blue horizontal stripes, symbolising the unity and continuity of our young nation.

• The red embodies the strength and courage of those who fought for our freedom, recalling the sacrifices made during historic events such as the Lochburn Rebellion.

• The white, symbol of purity, evokes the clear and noble vision we have for the future of our country.

• The blue, deep and vast like the waters that surround our islands, represents the freedom and serenity that reign on GUOA today.

In the centre, a stylised eagle towers over a red star, symbolising vigilance, protection and the sovereignty of our territory.

• Proposal 2: The Freedom Impulse

The second proposal, called ‘The Freedom Impulse’, is distinguished by its diagonal red stripe running across a blue and white background.

• The red, dynamic and powerful, symbolises our nation's irresistible drive towards the future, representing the strength and determination of our people.

• The blue backdrop embodies stability and freedom, while the white evokes purity and peace.

In the centre, the majestic eagle rests on a red star, a reminder of our country's vigilance and ambition to always aim higher. This flag embodies a bold and growing nation, ready to meet the challenges of the future, while remaining true to its roots.

Voting is now open to all Patreon members (free and paid subscriptions), and it's up to you to choose which flag will fly proudly over Grand Utopia of America. These symbols will become a central part of our collective identity, and every Utopian has a role to play in this historic decision.

Nous sommes à un tournant majeur de notre jeune nation insulaire, Grand Utopia of America. Après avoir solidifié notre indépendance et organisé nos premiers comtés, il est temps de doter notre pays d’un symbole unificateur. Un drapeau qui incarnera les valeurs et l’esprit de notre peuple, et qui flottera fièrement au-dessus des institutions de notre nation.

Le Conseil Consultatif se réunit à nouveau aujourd'hui, et vous, chers Utopiens, avez l'opportunité unique de participer à la sélection du drapeau qui représentera Grand Utopia of America. Deux propositions ont émergé, chacune porteuse d'une vision unique de notre identité.

• Proposition 1 : Les Bandes de l'Union

La première proposition, surnommée "Les Bandes de l'Union", se compose de bandes horizontales rouges, blanches et bleues, symbolisant l'unité et la continuité de notre jeune nation.

• Le rouge incarne la force et le courage de ceux qui se sont battus pour notre liberté, rappelant les sacrifices faits lors des événements historiques tels que la Rébellion de Lochburn.

• Le blanc, symbole de pureté, évoque la vision claire et noble que nous portons pour l’avenir de notre pays.

• Le bleu, profond et vaste comme les eaux qui entourent nos îles, représente la liberté et la sérénité qui règnent aujourd’hui sur GUOA.

Au centre, un aigle stylisé surplombe une étoile rouge, symbole de vigilance, de protection et de la souveraineté de notre territoire.

• Proposition 2 : L'Élan de la Liberté

La seconde proposition, nommée "L'Élan de la Liberté", se distingue par sa bande diagonale rouge, qui traverse un fond bleu et blanc.

• Le rouge, dynamique et puissant, symbolise l’élan irrésistible de notre nation vers l'avenir, représentant la force et la détermination de notre peuple.

• Le bleu, en toile de fond, incarne la stabilité et la liberté, tandis que le blanc évoque la pureté et la paix.

Au centre, l'aigle, majestueux, repose sur une étoile rouge, rappelant la vigilance et l'ambition de notre pays à toujours viser plus haut. Ce drapeau incarne une nation audacieuse et en pleine croissance, prête à relever les défis à venir, tout en restant fidèle à ses racines.
