I got actually a lot opinions who say it's understandable that the NSFW content is for Patreon. I felt comfortable doing it because missing those couple pages doesn't affect the story. If there was something important with the plot, that people would miss, it wouldn't be behind paywall. If I didn't make the Patreon I might have skipped the sex scene anyway, just never drawn it. Only reason I eventually did was because I thought it would be nice reward for possible Patrons.

I haven't seen any study done on this, but I would expect most people to shrug their shoulders and wait for next page - which won't make them happy (more "see on Patreon" I assume, haven't read yet), very few people would actually give even the 1$, more people who will then not pay on the end of the month and join just to see. There might be some who stop reading too. What I would do is put it somewhere. Do not directly point to it, say "4/5 sites I upload to ban adult content, so you can see it on Patreon (just for 1$). Or who knows, you might find it uncensored somewhere around". There are sites for adult comics (e-hentai, luscious to name two) where you could put it for those who can't pay to see, and even find new audience, even some who can support you with some money...
