Something from behind the scenes

New and old. Hey guys. While I'm working on the public release, here's something interesting (I hope).

If you remember, in the seventh act I introduced you (through Tanya) to Lianjiao, a Chinatown in the old city. It was supposed to be a pretty important story-related location but rendering scenes there proved to be a huge pain with my previous, very limited resources. So, I ditched it. You only have it as a backdrop a couple of times and that's it. Shame, really.

Well, I've been remaking older scenes, and decided to take a new look at it. First of all, I liked the aesthetics this environment had but it just seemed a bit too futuristic. So, I decided to switch it entirely. Old Lianjiao will move to Deliverance where it will fit better, and will be substituted with more grounded but not at all less interesting place. And it just makes more sense for a small market street to be located next to Blake's place. As a result (although, this asset is even heavier than old Lianjiao in terms of rendering data), it will be expanded with more events. Right now I'm finished with that first Tanya's scene. And you can see the difference right away. I abandoned her old outfit as not really something in her style but I kept the important part — pantyhose! Anyway, I'm fairly certain you can see the improvement by yourself but I still wanna hear your opinion, especially if it's different :)

That's about it. Thank you, and have a great day!

As of right now I'm just remaking the pictures and very slightly change the dialogues but I will expand it later for sure. Tanya's storyline ends pretty abruptly, and I was never satisfied with how I handled it.

The little tours behind the scenes are always interesting. It's true that the scene with Tanya gave a taste of unfinished business. The new appearance of the scene and the sets are great. The detail that immediately jumped out at me was the management of light and shadows on Tanya. I hope we'll have a little tour of the place during the sequence so we can take the opportunity to pay tribute to your work.
