Legs for days (and nights).
Hi. Time for the progress report. And I've got something to say. Those of you who participate in my Discord channel know this already, but I've ran into some serious technical difficulties last week. Latest Windows update (ugh) has ruined my workflow entirely. A bit of a technical information for you. I'm using a combination of Ryzen 5 3600, GeForce RTX 3070 and 64 Gb RAM in my computer. This is enough to process up to 800 Mb of geometry and 5 Gb of textures in any given Daz scene, although, combined they can't go over approximately 5.3 Gb. Meaning, trying to render such scene either crashes Daz or it goes so slowly you'll never finish the image. However, up until recently it wasn't all that important on the preparation stage. You could fill the scene with as many props and models as you want with ease. Well, ever since the last Windows update things changed. Now Daz freezes (and never unfreezes again until you manually close it) each time my scene goes over a certain threshold of geometry and I try to change anything in it. And it's not a particularly high threshold. I haven't been able to solve the issue so far, rolling the update back didn't do anything. As of now I'm using a method of making two scenes separately then merging them together for rendering but this is bullshit for a multitude of reasons. I did come across some advice to deal with this stuff but it's such a rare occurrence that nothing is guaranteed. As of now making new pictures just got much more difficult.
Now, what this means for you. Not much yet, honestly. You will still get the demo next Sunday (or a little earlier). You will still get the picture set tomorrow (and it's fun). But as of how we move on… Well, hopefully, we'll see tomorrow or the day after. Windows is a pain in the ass, I swear to god. I should be talking about new stuff I've made, not this crap. Oh, well.
Anyway, I just finished writing a significant scene for Bree which will pretty much finish her character arc. Hopefully, in a satisfying for you way. That's about it. See you soon, and wish you a fantastic day.
