Weekly progress report #80

Sporty girl enjoys her summer.

Hello! Time for another progress report. But first: the new demo is finished, and you can find it here. Again, a patch for the full version, three compressed builds, and an Android version. Unfortunately, once again I haven't been able to complete everything I planned, and the slums part is one day shorter than the city part. Sorry! That last day is extremely important (as Blake finally gets a chance to escape the slums), so I'm gonna need more time for it. But this demo is pretty big by itself. 90k words, and 308 (!!) pictures. As for very important choices, you'll be able to get locked on Suya's bimbo route, and send a message to Kushari from the slums. But you'll have to be careful, especially around Griddle.

I'll start working on the next demo right away. I'm not feeling great lately, but Blake's presence always helps. You'll get new polls the next week, including the story poll about the slums character you'd like to take to the city with you. This character will present in your following playthrough regardless if Blake went to the slums or not, so for those of you not playing the slums half: you still should check it out. I'll give a short summary of the characters, and their role in the future events.

So, that's about it. I hope you will enjoy it, and give me a lot of feedback. Thank you, and have a nice day!

Thank you very much! But I always feel a bit weird when people pay me more than my top level is. I don't think I deserve so much money :) Hope to never disappoint you!

I also chose to double my pledge to further cheer you on.

I don't know a creator that creates more content than you in all the people I follow and subscribe to. Except one person that does video game documentaries and that flies the world over to find devs. That person is pretty good too. But still, in the end, your art, your stories and your interaction with those who follow you is downright amazing. Whatever comes will come, but until the very end, I will be here to cheer you on.

I tried to promote myself on the internet a couple of times, and it always led to failure and/or embarrassment. So, I stopped trying. Not worth the effort, honestly. I think, if people are really interested, they will find me regardless :)

I should add that I'm subscribed to at least two other projects that don't push anything like the content you do on a quarterly basis. You're 100% the king (or queen?) of content. Most are teams of 2-10 who push maybe 50-100 renders and 10 or so animations. Your pace is insane, and if you lose supporters over reduced content in updates, you can gain them back by cross-promoting. Spend an hour or two a week trying to develop relations with other creators and see if they'll promote your work in return. You have nothing to lose and supporters to gain, so why not try? :)

I'm going to reference your past posts a bit as well as things I wanted to say but didn't - You know, unless your health issues are life-threatening, you can slow down quite a bit and no-one will be disappointed. If they are life-threatening, I can understand why you want to push content, and that's awful but understandable. Assuming they aren't life-threatening, you *still* don't have to apologize for pushing less content, and people will understand. You do you, and it'll be fine in the end - trust me on that. I know I've said this before, but the central conceit of this story isn't at all my kink, but the writing made me a patron of yours. Trust in your ability as a storyteller, your constantly increasing skill as a 3D pose-creator, and peoples' general goodwill to carry the rest. It'll all be okay. :)
