JUNE UPDATE 1/2 KOISHI PROJECT

SEGMENT 4 is almost finished! 2 more segements to go before the project ends! Getting close. Right now all the scenes are building up to the chorus (dream sequence)

Segment 4 consists a lot of frantic shots with one final overarching detailed shot to wrap up the whole thing.

Koishi's rapid shots are her arguing with increasing intensity with herself, so the camera constantly cuts as she decides if her subconcious is right or wrong.

She loses in the end obvs, but it's important to highlight the struggle she's going through right now.

Backgrounds

Background 1

I asked my background artist if he could cook up a more destroyed and symetrical look for the platform that koishi is standing on. I liked the inital bridge idea, however it was hard to position the larger bodies to interact with Koishi.

Background 2

A different varition of the current existing evil eye background.

If you've noticed, a lot of the Koishi project backgrounds, especially the close up shots of Koishi, are reused from larger cropped out backgrounds.

This is another variation of the evil eye background I will be reusing for the current close up shots in the animation.

Current future segement (dream sequence)

Segment 5 is Koishi's dream sequence. I want the visuals to look more surrealist and dream like to have the audience immersed in Koishi's conciousness. I'm going to incorporate some AfterEffects video editing to make more it a bit more trippy. I hope I can show you some art/animation updates in July!
