Galil Ace 32 (7.62x39) + Primary Arms 2x ACSS to 500yds: Practical Accuracy

In 2008, IWI released the Galil ACE. A complete overhaul of the old Galil family of rifles to bring the series into the millennium... this was 3 years before Kalashnikov Concern came out with their AK12, featuring the collapsable/ folding stock, upgraded selector, railed front end, combination gas block, extended rear sight radius and railed hand guard.

The Galil ACE fulfilled all of these categories and raised it a non-reciprocating charging handle and a thumb selector.

So how exactly does this platform perform on range? We were most interested in seeing the 7.62x39 version that the Republic of Vietnam adapted to replace all of their aging Type 56 carbines.

***Special thanks to Chris Bartocci from Small Arms Solutions for making this happen! ***

mag release is damn far back, isn't it? bit heavier and I would prefer a fixed stock a longer handguard but that sure is a DAMN nice carbine! free joice and having to head to some unfriendly areas.... pretty close to the top.

I had one of these long enough to make one trip to the range... in theory its a great platform. But $1,600 plus aftermarket handguard... plastic delete kit... M4 stock adapter to eliminate that cheap OEM stock and its easily a $2,200 rifle and the mag release is still in the wrong location, and it doesn't shoot any better than a PSA KS47 using same mags. Sold the ACE and kept the KS47, had enough $ left over to buy 2 cases of x39.
