Dina behind-the-scenes
Added 2023-05-13 14:49:47 +0000 UTCI thought maybe it'd be an interesting update to show the various shading layers, unlayered? I dunno, we'll see.
From left-to-right, top to bottom:
1) The combined everything! (minus the glowy lens-flare layer I guess I left out entirely because it'd make an odd number of images and thus not very tidy-looking)
2) This is the "basic shadows" image I updated with yesterday, but after the edges are smoothed out. Might be some additional airbrushing.
3) Another layer to add some darker shadows in places
4) Some highlights along the top and right edges
5) More highlights, but along the top and left edges -- added this last because I thought I needed more depth
6) And another round of "I feel like these areas should be darker" shadowing.
Not a very strict science to this. Sometimes you just add another layer and work from there because you don't want to mess up what you have!
