Dorothy pencils 2

I'M GONNA FIX THE DOROTHY ART, by god, I've become determined. So I've gone back to pencils.
I've elongated her torso a bit, since I think the proportions problem was partly due to making her a little too squat. Also that belly button was way too high.
It amuses me.

I've always wondered: is there a particular reason you draw characters pubic hair with the same hairstyle has their heads?

Looking better in my opinion, but still not quite there. To me, it feels like her upper torso is too wide, chest more so than shoulders. Dorothy is slim, almost, but not quite, petite. With that bigger torso automatically comes a larger, wider abdomen. Maybe try working from that angle?

But seriously, nice work Willis. It does look better already. I can't wait to see the finished result.

It's the rectus abdominis, which is characterized by its muscle trench going up and down the abdomen. It definitely exists, but is often shorthanded in cartoons when you're not allowed to draw belly buttons because those are too smexy.
