Dear friends,
It looks like we've missed two devlog updates recently, and it's a crime to keep you in the dark. So let's catch up with info on how things are going with completing the new update v0.1.3C.
What's been done:
the new map is complete, all areas have been added and linked;
all 3D map assets/objects and are on the map;
3D objects with big mesh count and heavy geometry have been replaced with optimized versions for improved performance on low-end video cards;
all light sources and post-processing effects are on the map, no more changes are needed;
Inquisitor character's 2D sprites are optimized and re-uploaded into the engine; she's got nude sprites for the dialogue as well (!);
all battle events are in place, testing the damage formula for a balanced experience for players;
the boss battle is complete, testing the damage formula for a balanced experience for players;
now adjusting engine settings to prevent memory leaks when loading new areas;
Early Access art content from v0.1.3C is now available to Lords.
The main focus before release is on balancing battles with new monsters and polishing technical stuff like variables and events to connect them all properly with previous maps and make sure that older saves work on the new map.
As of now, v0.1.3C is planned for release on September 8/9, fingers crossed.
