IMO CYOA are alright, but personally in this down-time I'd prefer a lot more one-off images or very short sets, to add some variation (and hopefully let you play around with a lot of different settings--I'd hope that'd help you feel less burnt out on things!). As for what, I guess I'm really not sure. Author's discretion, since you need to recover yourself.

I do like your comics but I think that maybe more art work or short one shots. Testing out looks for new characters/races. Maybe even run a request/suggestion thread, pick some out of it and try your hand. It may give you some new things and may get those creative juices going in new directions.
