I've just spent the day experiencing "Alfie" for the first time, from page one to the current pause. I've never experienced anything like it. What a wonderful break from reality! So many other things I should have done today. Reminded me of years ago being late with homework assignments because I spent all day reading "Lord of the Rings", only way more fun, and funny, and - you know - sexy! Had to take a couple of breaks to relieve the - tension (blush). So, take all the time you need to recharge. I hope to enjoy your creations for years to cum.

I paint miniatures for games like D&amp;D and warhammer 40k as a hobby..I'm good enough i get a fair bit of commission work. And on some of the larger jobs...you put that much effort into getting everything just right...all those little details..it gets exhausting. So yeah...when i complete an army of 50+ minis, I get pretty burned out and i take a break...then i go back once i'm ready....and usually after doing a couple of "just for fun" pieces for myself on my own timetable. You do great work...if a break is what you need to keep it up to your standards, more power to you.(and i look forward to those side projects too...wouldn't mind a few more journal entries form dr. lovingstone charting his/her transformation..always been a sucker for a good tf sequence.)

"YOU" always come first!!!! It's understandable to get burnt out every now and then, and I get the same way with designing. Sometimes you need to tackle something new for a while before the "man i really miss this" hits you, and you run back and the first page you start feels like the first page all over again. I really hope you have that happen to you, and find some time to just relax and enjoy what ever it is you like to do for fun!

Even in asshole America, it's expected to get a break every few weeks and a solid 2-week vacation at least every year, if not twice a year. Just because you're not salaried doesn't mean you don't deserve at least that. So take it! Please take care of yourself!

As someone who is attempting to create my own comics, I can relate. The end of the year (November/December) is the perfect time to take a break. One of the best ways I have found to 'recharge' is do nothing related to work for a awhile. And I wish I was half the artist you are. Amazing work. Peace.

Just yesterday I was looking at your recent warm-up pieces done during the stream, and was thinking something like "InCase is some alient robot, he works 24/7 through years doing Alfie and a lot of other stuff at the same time, and he doesn't even seem to be tired of it". Well, I'm relieved to learn you're not a robot. Rest for as long as you need.

Don't worry about all that. Patreon should be seen as a tip jar from fans who like the art you're creating, not as a payement for some duty or work. Take your time, replenish yourself and keep it coming when you're good. Your art is really great and I love it. I like the characters in the comic and have seen some authors take characters in negative directions because they are forced to continue rather than allowed to rediscover their energy or passion for the project. I will say I wouldn't mind the occasional sexy short stack or Alfie/Vera art piece in addition to your more human proportioned lovelies.
