Upcoming Patreon Changes!! (Reposted from Main Feed)

Hello, hello!! It's likely that you will have already listened to this errr 45ish minute announcement from Austin, Art and Ali about the upcoming changes to our patreon on our main feed. HOWEVER, BECAUSE THIS EFFECTS THE PATREON..... WE THOUGHT IT WOULD MAKE SENSE TO ALSO PUT IT HERE. (Don't listen twice! Or, well, you do you, I guess)

Here are, once again, all the changes laid out in text as well:

$1 - Clapcast. The Clapcast remains unchanged and will continue to be a monthly 20 to 30 minute collection of outtakes and interstitials from various cast recordings. Banter! Jokes! Laughs!

$5 - Bluff City or equivalent produced and sound-tracked actual play episode once a month. Rather than using this tier to promise more content than we can create, we're using it to focus on the best thing we make: Bluff City or a similar mini-campaign.

You might be thinking "But I love Bluff City! What other thing are they going to put here...??" Well, after Bluff City season 2 we're planning on doing a short campaign of Realis, a tabletop system designed by Jack de Quidt and Austin Walker. We will DEFINITELY be returning for a third season of Bluff City, but we're giving this tier a little wiggle room so if we hit any road bumps with creating Bluff City, the feed will still remain consistent month to month with a bonus episode of something very cool and polished.

$15 - Live at the Table sponsor + Developers ""Blog"". Instead of being apart of the $5 tier, Live at the Table is becoming a free semi-monthly Twitch stream and it is the patrons at this tier that make it possible. We’ll show our appreciation by putting their names on a crawl for our Live at the Table streams and for our Twitch episode rebroadcasts (Bluff City Season 01, rebroadcasting on our twitch SOON!)

This tier will also give you access to a new (currently unnamed) podcast, a monthly developers blog/behind the scenes conversation with a few cast members about whatever we've been working on! The show will be a combination of the best of our Pusher content, the vibe of the Drawing Map streams, and our deeper Tips at the Table conversations. Rather than lock these sorts of conversations at the $50 tier OR try to share behind the scenes content across a bunch of different types of rewards, we'll have one episode a month that is more focused, more consistent, and more relevant to our current output.

$25 - Physical Rewards! Postcards! This is staying the same, our postcard catch-up is happening this month and then full steam ahead on some great stuff already in production. Amazing artists, in-universe short fiction, these are amazing artifacts from our cool show.

Postcard fulfillment is continuing monthly and will remain monthly!! If you join on this tier in March, you will receive the first Palisade card in April! You will receive an email about fulfillment in the third week of April!!

If you supported this tier in February and were charged on March 1st, you WILL get an email in the third week of March about fulfillment for your card (a very cool 6x4 version of our Palisade cover!)

If you've been supporting this tier in the past 18 months and have been like uhhhhh, what's going on,,, you should have received an email update about this last week! If you did not, PLEASE email friendsatthetable@gmail.com and we'll get it sorted!!

$50 - Credits in our show notes. Wow, what a generous monthly donation. At this level we will put your name in the show credits in the episode description of every main feed episode. You’re making everything we do possible and we want to say thanks.

$100 - Signed Bookplates and TTRPG book. This tier remains unchanged. After six months and once a year after we will send you a game book of your choice with a signed bookplate affixed inside. These are cool and extremely rare!

You'll see these changes roll out on Thursday alongside our PALISADE debut! We thank everyone so much for their patience, their understanding and their support for Friends at the Table! We think these changes are the right thing for us and our workflow and we hope you will all continue to enjoy what we create. We literally, actually, truly, fully, completely could not do it without you.

For how the Patreon stands right now, March will continue to be a transitional month as we catch up with Bluff City Gravity Rip, a few months of Clapcast backlog, and a flurry of postcard shipments. These changes will begin in earnest in April, where Bluff City will continue with our return to Dream Askew, the start of our new behind-the-curtain podcast, the start of our PALISADE cards and more activity over on Twitch!

sometimes my podcatcher also does this idk why. i can investigate and see if there's an easy fix.

Friends at the Table

I'm so stoked for the new changes and I'm really hoping it becomes something more manageable for you folks. My only big question is will we be getting artwork for the RSS Feed? That little gray box in my podcatcher makes me a little sad.

Kyle Schlahta

Drawing Maps has been my favourite part of my current sub (and Bluff). Tripling up to $15/month is a big jump for me, but gonna try it for a few months. The live Twitch stuff is probably no go, given schedule and everything, sadly.

Mr Danger

The Live at the Table stuff mentioned here will be TTRPGs every other month or so, whereas video games will continue as a separate side thing we do for fun! Archives of those TTRPGs will be going in the patreon feed at the $5, just like they currently do. Also, no content will be removed from the tier it is currently in so the backlog will remain accessible at their previous tiers. Hope this addresses all your concerns!

Friends at the Table

Cool stuff. I hope you'll consider still releasing podcast version of some of the new Live at the Table stuff. Not all of it of course - i don't need Mech Mondays in podcast form, but it'd be nice to have on the TTRPG episodes where a podcast could work. Also, is the old Pusher content going to stay at the $50 tier?

deafhobbit

excited!!

I'm a lil bummed that Map Maker's going away bc I really liked being able to see character sheets and maps, but otherwise I'm pretty happy with this; it seems like at the $15/mo level I'm getting about the same stuff as I've been getting already besides the Map Maker stuff.

HatoMada

No content will be removed from the tier it is currently in so the backlog will remain accessible at their previous tiers!

Friends at the Table

This is awesome and really exciting! Been meaning to up my pledge for a bit and this seems like a great opportunity to. Thanks for everything y'all do!

justikin

I feel positively about this change!

The Live at the Table stuff mentioned here will be TTRPGs every other month or so, whereas video games will continue as a separate side thing we do for fun!

Friends at the Table

To clarify, is Live at the Table the stuff yall have been doing with video game streams, or is it going to be streams that are broadly-kinda-tabletop-related, the way R2P2 was?

kaia

Love the new structure! I've been meaning to upgrade to a new level for awhile as my salary has changed and this gave me the reminder to do so. Love ya'll!

Lauren Otto

This structure looks like it's a lot simpler and I'm super excited to see next phase f@ttreon content. With regards to previous/historic content, will there ever be ways to dip back into them if you weren't necessarily on the tiers before or is it worth jumping up one now to grab them all before the change over?

D B

No content will be removed from the tier it is currently in

Friends at the Table

Great new structure, looking forward to how things shake out and Palisade!! Will the $5 tier keep access to previous drawing maps/tips audio episodes? I'm really enjoying them, but still going through the backlog and can't up my contribution at the moment (grad school, you know how it is)

Rowan Grey

I was one of those people at the Map Maker tier who never once looked at the maps or character sheets. I just bounced up a tier and very much look forward to the future of FatT!

Anne Smith

Some folks on the Discord and twitter were asking and the friends clarified: the $5 tier also gets you the audio mp3s of the Live games in the Patreon RSS, as it does today

Thomas Whitney

Yes they will!

Friends at the Table

I'm tempted to go to the higher tier for the behind the scenes show. That sounds great.

Tom O'Bedlam

This might be an obvious question based on the recent history etc but I want to make sure,,,, will the lives get reuploaded to yt after they happen?

Kieren
