GrowthRPG V0.3.2 Poll

The goal for the game this year was to get all the major mechanics in place. The last two big systems are upgrading and adding in companions so I want to focus on that. Equipment upgrades are basically almost done from last month I just need the level up mechanic to give rewards and add the upgrade materials to the game. 

Equipment Upgrades - adds the ability to upgrade weapons and armor. Leveling weapons will increase their power and leveling armor increases the size it can stretch before popping off, along with gaining new skills and abilities 

Companions - adds NPCs that will join you inside and outside of fights.

I would love to see more enemies drop armor in the dungeons. Feels like its impossible to watch my armor fall apart because by the time I get money or Ingots to upgrade my armor at the blacksmith I am already 4 times bigger than the max weight of the armor despite trying so hard to upgrade it. I know the nude is the best part but the breaking off armor is a really cool feature that no other game has.

My plan is to definitely have it done this year, so one month I might forgo the poll or have patrons vote on minor features to add that month

I think we've had companions up for voting enough, it should just be next up at this point, shouldn't it? I really want to have a friend to play around with in the game, and customize similar to my own.

I'm not very vocal on the Patreon side but companions has been an option for so long and it's failed, I feel next month needs to be solely concerned with companions. Just a suggestion. Also, a couple of new suggestions. 1) A casino-like level in the random dungeon. The player bets the stat of their choice against the House. If the House wins, the player loses those stats. If the player wins, they double their gains. (There would have to be a low cap on this.) It could be the roll of dice or high and low of card draws. 2) A special encounter in the dungeon with a tentacle monster. The player can choose what stat at the start. If they win, they get a few growth essences in that stat. However, if they lose, they have to undergo a special animation that temporarily buffs the stat they use. This would have to have some sort of buffer. Example: Say a person encountered tentacle monster and wanted bust essences. If they chose bust and had high strength, if they had a strength move, the opposition would have a heightened defense against strength moves and the player would have to adjust accordingly. Or they could just give up and om nom nom. Thanks for your continued detail to excellence.

How about making pumping in mini-games permanent? Is it possible?

well for companions people like to grow others instead of their own character, which is why I think its an important inclusion

I do hope we get a way to unequip things too. I like my coat and boots, sure, but the meshing and stretching breaks down at bigger sizes. Upgrading them sounds fun, but not at the higher levels, i feel...

I think everyone who keeps wanting companions are expecting sex scenes. But really, it only takes twenty minutes of grinding to become overpowered so I don't even see the point of them.
