Added 2021-07-07 22:34:19 +0000 UTCKind of want to do something big for the 0.3.0 version, so this month I want to either add in companions or the new dungeon, and then next month I'll focus on bugfixing/polish. I know I still have a laundry list of bugs to fix so I'll be focusing on that but I at least want to start one of the new systems. My goal is having both of them implemented by the end of the year.
Companions - Add NPCs that will join you inside and out of battle
Expanded Dungeon - new more advanced dungeon system with new areas and bosses that has a proper layout, and not just one room

From a coding/modelling perspective I think adding a few more items in the dungeon would probably be the easiest. Perhaps bigger growth essences or even a risk/reward essence that would reduce a stat if the player chooses to consume and is unlucky. After all, the only way to shrink the player is by reallocating stats. ngl but I think companions would be a serious undertaking that'd take several updates to get working (not that I'm doubting your abilities! ^^). Also, any plans to convert the old enemy models to the new model system (used for the bandit boss/dock workers/dock boss etc.?

2021-07-08 03:19:37 +0000 UTCA change that I think would be nice but it’s mostly just for quality of life is to reduce the range at which enemies start to flee, sometimes I feel that they just disappear from site when I’m looking for them when they run away or at least make them slower than the player so they can be easier to catch.
