Growth RPG V0.2.3 Poll

going to be a short month since I'm going home for Christmas/New Years. I plan on the update coming out the 18th, and the hotfix on the 22nd, so nothing huge this update.

going to be focusing on UI this month because its a short thing I can do that needs some serious improvement. Along with the dungeon, which I don't think I will be able to get out this month, very sorry but I'm slowly chipping away at it. I don't want to reveal too much about it though because I want the content to be a surprise. Also going to be working on possibly getting the skin system I implemented last week to be automatic, instead of doing it by hand. 


Minigames are short little activities that result in growth. They could either be permanent or temporary attribute increases.

Sound Design. For adding sound effects to the game

Beast Boss Fight. Because I implemented the new skin system last week I can do custom skins. I want to try and get Beast in the game as a boss (The big boy on the left) and I know a lot of people have been asking to bring him back, so I thought it might be fun to give that a shot. I also talked a while ago about a boss that grows by taking your levels if you lose. I might have it be multiplicative so you wont lose as much progress, like you lose 5 levels but he gains 20.

All sounds good and thanks for the response back. Definitely looking forward to whatever content is provided in this shorten month. I did have one more question based on the response provided. In the scenario that beast boss does not stat drain, would it be possible to have him gain levels at the resolution of a combat (win or lose)? Completely understand if the answer is no, just like the idea of potential having more conditions in the game that allow stronger enemies through progression of repetition.

yes I plan on it being repeatable. maybe ill have it in the dungeon depends on how much time I have left. if I have him drain stats ill have him refuse to fight if you arent above a certain threshold and yes I plan to have ego bets for nearly every fight

The Beast Boss fight sounds cool definitely have a few questions about it. - Will this boss be repeatable or will it no longer exist on the map once its defeated? - Does it have a chance to show up in the dungeon? - If the player is defeated and their level is lower than 5, does the boss still gain 20 level? Can the player still lose 5 levels and if so can they be reduced below level 1? - When the player loses 5 levels, do they lose skill tree points and/or stat points? Is the stat loss random? - Will it be possible to wager ego against the boss? Don't really have any questions about sound design or the mini games. As always appreciate the good work you do with this project.

If you do go the beast route just go all in. Whenever you lose to him he gains half your currant levels, that way we can have some real fun! Also I was wondering if you could make levelling up a bit faster? Like once you hold the shift key down instead of just adding 5 points it keeps adding points and getting faster as it adds more point's till there are none left to add? As it currently is its very slow to hold down shift and add 5 point with each new click when you have a lot to add.
