An Honest Misunderstanding

I want to give an official update regarding the copyright issue that recently came up regarding the Fairies vs. Witches and Animated Wings mods. As many of you noticed, the posts for both mods were removed a few days ago because of a copyright claim made against them, which I initially assumed was made in bad faith, but I have learned since then that it was completely valid.
When I first created the FvW mod, I sourced a few wing designs from various "free vector" websites and unfortunately, one of them stole a design from a creator who designs and makes custom wings. This third party photoshopped her creation and posted it as their own, then I used this design under the assumption that it was not copyrighted content, but I was mistaken. I would like to formally apologize to Angela of Fancy Fairy Wings & Things for this misunderstanding. I've also apologized privately and had a very lovely conversation with her about this situation, clearing the air. She is a very talented creator and I encourage you all to check out her page and give her some love! π Please don't blame her for my mistake, as her only role in this was to rightfully defend her intellectual property. I don't condone any harassment toward her and doing so will result in being blocked.
I would also like to make a broader statement to say that I 100% believe in supporting artists and respecting their terms of use. I would never intentionally disrespect or steal anyone's artwork and I will definitely be much more careful when searching for assets in the future. I hope this sets an example for others to hold themselves accountable and pay artists their deserved dues!
Lastly, the Fairies vs. Witches and Animated Wings mods have both been revised and reuploaded with the copyrighted material removed. In the future, if you see something in my content that you believe is being misused, please don't hesitate to let me know so I can correct the situation and make it right.

2025-09-03 21:21:39 +0000 UTCShe doesn't make wings for Sims 4. She makes her own custom designed wings to wear in real life. Did you even look at her page before commenting? Neither she nor SP is claiming they own custom content for the Sims 4. Nobody is claiming custom content for TS4 as their own. She DOES own the design, and it was never intended to be used for Sims 4.

2025-07-18 18:38:21 +0000 UTCAs one that knows, no one should be claiming copyright on anything Sims related, or it can put you in the courtroom with EA. Their terms and conditions are extremely clear about this All mods and custom content belongs to The Sims and no one owns claim to any of the mods or CC but Sims and EA. Im very concerned this player may be sued since they are trademarking a Sims item. ALL CUSTOM CONTENT AND MODS MADE BY ANYONE agrees to the FACT that all of them belong to Sims. EA has sued before. My husband and I are in our 50s, and OWN a brick and mortar game store (AND a second business unrelated) since 1998, and know EA very VERY well. Be cautious about what you or others claim as yours, if it is for Sims 4, it is not yours. Or hers. Or anyone's but EA.
