Even good things bring inherent stress with them. Lottery winners often end up broke or even jailed, newly weds often up fighting about things they never had a disagreement abut before, etc. I know when I was promoted to Captain and had responsibility for all the uniform patrol personnel at the agency where I worked, though I had done the job under the former Captain as his Lieutenant, feeling the full weight settle on my shoulders was rough emotionally and mentally for a while. specially when the then Chief marked me as the man who would be Chief when he left for temporary periods of time.
