The Datsun is titled and registered!
Added 2023-06-21 20:31:13 +0000 UTCAfter jumping through quite a few hoops, the 280Z is finally legally allowed to be on the road!
It passed inspection with no problem whatsoever, however getting it titled in my name turned out to be quite the hassle. I’ll talk more about it in the video, but let’s just say that the original owner never put his signature on the back of the title and it wasn’t exactly possible to track him down and to get it… But hey! I still made it to the other side.
The only (kinda) bad news is that I wasn’t able to keep the cool vintage plates that were already on the car. Apparently the DMV had record of a completely different license plate number previously registered to the car, with no record of the ones that have been on there ever being in their system… for any car. Not sure exactly how that happened! Maybe some sketchy handiwork done by the guy I bought the car from?
Either way, it’s done, I’m so happy, and can’t wait to really drive this thing!
