First (Real) Drive for the 280Z!

The last "checkpoint" I'm trying to hit for the upcoming 280Z video is to get the car to pass inspection and then register it, then it's video making time!
This whole process took much, much longer than I anticipated. I have over 23 hours of footage! Finding a way to condense all of that down to 20-30 minutes and still be a cohesive, captivating story is going to be fun, but will absolutely take some time. However I am still shooting on getting it out before this month ends, so it shouldn't be too long :)

2023-06-06 21:20:28 +0000 UTCit's amazing what a properly working electrical system will do for performance. Chewed spark plug wires would definitely impact that! I have an '86 Fiero SE, and the negative battery cable was...old. Just...gross. Was browsing clearance parts on Amazon and found a cable for a GMC truck that was twice as thick and zero corrosion. After promptly breaking the bolt to which it attaches on the engine block, I replaced the existing cable with one with a good, clean connection. Ran great after that. It was running "okay" before, but I'm not sure how. When I was feeling on the front of the engine (can't see it because it's by the firewall), the terminal was moving around in my fingers around 1/4 an inch, and the bolt was completely rusted. I have NO idea how any current was passing through.
