Crafted from the gnarled trees of the swamp and crowned with luminescent toadstools, these staffs are rare artifacts of druidic power.

The hags, with their deep understanding of swamp lore and dark magic, have created these staffs not only as tools of power but also as symbols of their dominion over the bog. The staffs are occasionally found by adventurers brave enough to venture into these hags' realms. Each staff, while similar in power, carries the unique imprint of the swamp from which it came and the hag who crafted it. 🍄🌿⚚

Toadstool Staff

Staff, rare (requires attunement by a druid)

This staff is made from the twisted wood of an ancient tree found deep within a mystical swamp. Its top blooms with a large, vibrant toadstool, and living toads seem to emerge and merge back into the woodwork as if part of the staff itself.

This staff can be wielded as a magic quarterstaff. While attuned to this staff, you learn the poison spray cantrip. When you cast poison spray using the staff, the spell save DC is increased by 2.

Additionally, the staff has 10 charges for the following properties and regains 1d6 + 4 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the staff becomes a nonmagical quarterstaff.

While holding this staff, you can use an action to expend 1 or more of its charges to cast one of the following spells from it, using your spell save DC and spell attack bonus: entangle (1 charge), barkskin (2 charges), plant growth (3 charges), or giant insect (5 Giant Toads only) (4 charges).
