🎴🔮💥 Created by a conclave of battle-mages, the Deck of Explosive Spells was intended to provide frontline soldiers with rapid access to explosive magical support. It is said that the last card in each deck holds a fragment of the soul of its creator, which is why the deck self-destructs upon the expenditure of its final charge. 🎴🔮💥

Wondrous item, rarity varies
The cards are thick, bordered with runes that spark when rubbed, and are cool to the touch until activated, whereupon they become as warm as a hearthstone.
The Deck of Explosive Spells is a collection of 20 cards, each charged with a single, powerful evocation spell.
The GM selects one evocation spell for each spell level from 1st to 5th, ensuring a variety of 5 spells within the deck. When a creature draws a card, they cast the associated spell.
The spell save DC depends on the rarity of the deck: 14 for Rare, 16 for Very Rare, 18 for Legendary.
The deck starts with 20 charges. To draw a card, a creature must use an action, expend one charge and then roll a d10 to determine the level of the evocation spell drawn from the deck (see table).
The deck is destroyed after the last charge is expended.
