Driftapple of the Galastra

The driftapple, transmuted by the galastra riftworm, subtly sparkles with a delicate nightscape. Bites reveal vibrant, cosmic tapestries, opening an astral journey within, making this unassuming fruit a mesmerizing portal to distant, unimaginable realms.

Upon using an action to bite the driftapple and thinking of a specific destination in Wildspace, make a DC 17 Intelligence (Arcana) check. Success takes you and up to five willing creatures within 5 feet to your desired location, while failure launches you to a random point in Wildspace. The apple cannot be used again and loses its magical properties after the bite.

Traits

Astral Burrower. The Galastra can use its bonus action to teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space it can see. Once it uses this trait, it can’t use it again until it finishes a short or long rest.

Bite Transmutation. The Galastra’s bite can convert a normal apple into a Driftapple. The process takes 1 minute, and the worm can’t perform other actions while converting the apple.

Actions

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1 piercing damage, and the target must make a DC 10 Constitution saving throw, taking 10 (4d4) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
