Chillspike Armor

Armor (studded leather), rare (requires attunement)

Dramatic ice spikes, resembling jagged shards of glaciers, extend menacingly from its shoulder pads. Touching the armor evokes the sensation of the first crisp winter breeze.

The frost essence woven into the leather grants the wearer a +1 bonus to AC.

When you enter combat wearing this armor and roll initiative, consult the unmodified d20 result to determine one of the following effects. This effect begins on your first turn and lasts either until its specified duration concludes or combat ends, whichever comes first

1-4: Frostbite Aura - A cold mist emanates from the armor. Any enemy that starts its turn within 5 feet of you must make a Constitution saving throw (DC 15) or take 1d6 cold damage and have their speed reduced by 10 feet until the end of their next turn.

5-8: Glacial Barb - For a moment, the spikes on the armor shimmer with icy magic. Your next melee attack not only deals an additional 1d8 piercing damage but also forces the target to make a Strength saving throw (DC 15) or be knocked prone.

9-12: Winter's Shield - The armor glows with a soft blue light. You gain a temporary protective shield that grants you resistance to all damage and immunity to the frozen condition until the start of your next turn.

13-16: Frost Glide - Frost spreads around your feet. As a bonus action, you can glide on this ice trail, moving up to 20 feet in a straight line without provoking opportunity attacks. This movement leaves a slick icy path that lasts until the end of your next turn, turning the area into difficult terrain.

17-20: Blizzard Burst - The armor releases a frigid gust of wind and snowflakes, creating a blinding snowstorm in your vicinity. All creatures within a 15-foot radius centered on you must make a Constitution saving throw (DC 15) or be blinded and take 1d4 cold damage. They remain blinded until the end of their next turn.
